BAD RELIGION LIVE ALBUM
BAD RELIGION have revealed technical details about their upcoming live album.
"To celebrate three decades of Bad religion, we’ll be recording a live album during our spring 2010 tour, and offering it as a free "thank you" to the loyal fans who’ve been with us through all the sweat and mayhem. Sometimes late spring we’ll let you know how you can get your free 30 Years Live download. We’ll be playing a few tracks at the shows from our new album, coming this fall, so this will be a great way to get a preview of the new tunes. Thanks again to the greatest and best-looking fans a band could hope for."
This additional info has also been released:
The upcoming live record will be made available for download on May 18th. If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so here.
– Fans will have a choice of the following formats: FLAC, Apple Lossless, variable bitrate MP3 (hi and low), Variable bitrate AAC (hi and low), 320-bit MP3.
– The album will come with minimal artwork more suitable for an mp3 device than printout but I suppose some folks will want to print it. It will be limited to one “front cover” image.
The unique download codes will be delivered along with liner notes via email.
– Songs were left untouched wherever possible; editing and overdubbing were done at an absolute minimum so what you’ll hear is a very pure live recording and no parts were added. Mixing duties were handled by the great Mike Fraser at The Warehouse in Canada. We’ve not yet mastered.
– There are no plans to release the album on CD but we’ve toyed with the idea of doing some vinyl later in the year.
