THE INTERRUPTERS have just unveiled another new video.
‘Raised By Wolves’ is taken from the LA band’s long-awaited new album In The Wild, which was released on Friday through Hellcat and follows on from 2018’s Fight The Good Fight.
“In my formative years, I grew up with a lot of turmoil and abuse in the house,” says frontwoman Aimee Interrupter about the single. “I had no consistent parental figures to turn to and I couldn’t trust anyone, I ended up in a foster home and moved around a lot throughout my childhood. This set the stage for many missteps in my life. I truly feel that I was raised by wolves… in the wild. This song is me coming to terms with that and forgiving those who I expected to be there for me, while also forgiving myself.”
The band hit UK soil on 20 August for an appearance at Beautiful Days in Devon, then touring until 3 September when they play Brixton Academy. Full dates are…

GINGER WILDHEART has announced a new solo album and a run of dates.
Ginger will be sharing with fans the whole process of making the album, via video updates, live Q&As and exclusive digital content. Fans can sign up at his website through a number of different membership options.
Those pre-ordering the album will receive more than 20 songs when recording is completed in Sept/Oct, some months before the full commercial release of the album.
Also, Friendly Strangers, a benevolent fund for fans who cannot afford to subscribe to the campaign, has been set up.
“The passion and the kindness of Ginger’s supporters is the stuff of legend and aside from the generosity that was shown right off the bat, I was especially struck by how the people writing in will share the difficulties they’re having, completely unprompted – I’ve read some truly heartbreaking stories in the last week,” says Ian Sparke, co-founder and person in charge. “So how does Friendly Strangers work? Well, you can donate, by sending however much you can spare to email@example.com. If you’re struggling financially and would benefit from our help, write an email to that same address. You’ll hear from me personally and I will get you subscribed for the new album campaign.”

West London new wavers THE FADES have just unveiled a new video.
‘You Follow Me Around’ is the first single to be taken from the band’s forthcoming album, Night Terrors, which follows the success of the vinyl reissue of their 2012 third album Ragnarok and signposts a new beginning for the band.
“The song was written at a very difficult time when this ex-partner was seriously harassing me” says singer Dave Lightfoot of the single. “It made me ill and I lost so much weight but in the usual Fades way, I managed to make light of it by linking the song to my cat, who was also harassing me but in a much more loving way. Basically, I took the positive approach to a very stressful situation and then a song came out of it”.
Satanic metal figureheads VENOM are to issue their career-spanning In Nomine Satanas anthology as a 6 CD + DVD box st.
The set, comprising their original albums for Neat Records, from 1981’s Welcome To Hell up to the live album Eine Kleine Nachtmusik from ’86, was previously issued as a deluxe vinyl set in 2019. The set also includes the Sons Of Satan, collection including an expanse of early demos going back to the beginnings of the band in 1979.
The set is completed by the inclusion of 7th Date Of Hell, a DVD documenting a performance from the legendary Hammersmith Odeon in 1984.
As if that wasn’t enough, BMG are issuing a 40th Anniversary deluxe edition of their classic genre-igniting second album Black Metal, on silver-and-black-swirl vinyl, limited to 1,500 copies.
Set for release on 23 September, both releases are available to pre-order here.
Aussie punk legends THE HARD-ONS have just unveiled a new video from their latest album.
‘Needles And Pins’ is taken from the album I’m Sorry Sir, That Riff’s Been Taken, which came out last autumn and is their first album to feature You Am I frontman Tim Rogers.
“The Hard-Ons are in love with the music and beauty of pop,” says bassist Ray Ahn of the video. “We wanted Mike Foxall, the director to capture the sentiment and tenderness of the melody – all the while showing some light-hearted humour… “
“People usually scoff (politely Emoji) when I insist we’re a pop band .. SEE!!”, adds guitarist Peter ‘Blackie’ Black.
Released through Cheersquad Records on limited edition hot pink and teal vinyl 7″, ‘Needles And Pins’ is available here.
Aussie garage legends SCREAMING TRIBESMEN’s founder Mick Medew has collaborated with his life partner Ursula Collie on a brand new album.
Love Is Calling was conceived through a series of live-streaming sessions during Covid lockdown. With Medew on guitars and vocals and Ursula on keys, the ten tracks on the album cover a broader palette than Medew has hitherto been known for with the Tribesmen and latterly, the Memerisers, spanning power-pop, synthpop, alt-country and pop-rock.
Recorded and produced by longtime collaborator Brian Mann, Love Is Calling is available now through I-94 Bar Records.
The URBAN VOODOO MACHINE’s frontman Paul-Ronney Angel has collaborated with LINDA GAIL LEWIS – younger sister of the Killer himself, Jerry Lee Lewis! – and they’re premiering the video exclusively with Vive Le Rock!
The track ‘Wild Turkey & Lemonade’ was written by Angel and inspired by Linda Gail when she told him about her favourite drink: “I was on tour in the States with guitarist Danny B Harvey who is Linda Gail’s son-in-law and we were knocking back some Jack’n’Cokes in honour of Lemmy who Danny played with in Headcat, when Linda Gail told me that Wild Turkey & Lemonade used to be her favourite drink – it stuck and became a song and I’m super happy she agreed to duet it with me!”
The track is available on the London Texas Lockdown album which made VLR’s Top 50 Albums of 2021. It can be ordered direct from the man himself!
In addition to a full-on schedule with The Urban Voodoo Machine, Angel has also found time to form an all-star band The Bad MoFos which features Tomirae Brown (James Brown Band), Tom Spencer (The Professionals), Slim (The Urban Voodoo Machine) and Rocky Rhyhm (The Revillos).
