Coinciding with the return of THEATRE OF HATE, Cherry Red Records are to reissue an expanded version of their classic debut studio album.

With the newly minted Kinshi, the band’s first new album in 34 years, set for release this month, Westworld is being reissued as a deluxe 3-CD set in November.

Put together by Kirk Brandon from the ashes of punk band THE PACK, Theatre Of Hate were completed by bassist Stan Stammers, sax-player John ‘Boy’ Lennard, guitarist Steve Guthrie an drummer Luke Rendle. Debuting with the live album He Who Dares Wins (Live At Leeds Warehouse), the band recorded Westworld with THE CLASH’s Mick Jones in the producer’s chair, before being joined by future CULT members Billy Duffy and Nigel Preston. Reaching No.17 in the album chart, Westworld also spawned the anthemic Top 40 single ‘Do You Believe In The Westworld’.

Unavailable on CD for many years, Westworld  has been newly remastered and expanded to include single B-sides, previously unreleased John Peel sessions, a unique Top Of The Pops recording of their hit, alternative mixes and a bonus live disc featuring a previously unissued recording of a show from the Westworld tour..

Released on 25 November, it’s available to pre-order here.

Rejuvenated UK82 mob CHRON GEN return with a brand new video which they’re launching exclusively with Vive Le Rock!

‘Jump’ is the opening track from their latest album This Is The Age, their first new album in 32 years.

Having reformed to play Rebellion in 2013 and still featuring long-serving members Glyn Barber, John ‘JJ’ Johnson and Roy Horner, the Hertfordshire band have recently returned from successful dates in California and Las Vegas. Now signed to Westworld Recordings, they released This Is The Age on 16 September. It’s available to buy here.

Storming out of Letchworth at the tail-end of the 70s, Chron Gen made instant headway when their Puppets Of War EP reached the Indie Chart top five. The next two singles on Step Forward and Secret did the same, with their 1982 debut album reaching a respectable 53 on the national Albums Chart. Selling out London’s Lyceum under their own steam, they were also included on the now legendary Apocalypse Now Touralongside THE EXPLOITED, DISCHARGE, ANTI-PASTI and THE ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE.

The world’s only Jet Rock’n’Roll band GUITAR WOLF hit London this week for their only UK show on the Japanese trio’s Yojouhan Strikes Back! European Tour.

To get yourself in the mood check out the video for the title track from their brand new album T-Rex From A Tiny Space Yojouhan, which is out now through Gan Shin Records. Order now from Amazon.

Guitar Wolf play The Dome, Tufnell Park on Friday 7 October. Support comes from ATOMIC SUPLEX and BLACK MEKON.

This very special one-off show is being promoted by Punk Rock Blues in conjunction with the legendary rock’n’roll and bike clothing company, Lewis Leathers, who’ve issued a limited edition Guitar Wolf Jet Rock’n’Roll belt to commemorate the occasion.

And just what is Jet Rock’n’Roll?? It’s Guitar Wolf’s unique combination of extreme volume, heavy distortion and screaming. A Guitar Wolf show is a complete energy overload that is akin to being in the blast zone of a sonic atom bomb explosion. Taking their influence from 50’s rock’n’roll, The Ramones, Eddie Cochrane, Johnny Thunders, Joan Jett and Link Wray, the ‘Wolf then mix it up into a maelstrom of noise.

Tickets for the show are available here now!
