SLEAFORD MODS GO TO MARKET!

SLEAFORD MODS have announced a major headline tour for the Autumn. The dates follow on from the release of their third album in July and a run round the Summer festivals, including Glastonbury and Hyde Park with The Who.

The tour is the electro-rant double-acts biggest to date and sees them supported on most dates by legendary CRASS frontman STEVE IGNORANT and his SLICE OF LIFE. It kicks off in Manchester on 23 September

“This is our first ‘posh’ tour; big bus, everything,” states frontman Jason Williamson. “It’s a big deal. Sleaford Mods at Rock City, The Forum, Manchester Ritz etc. Who would of thought it? Not f***ing me.”

The duo’s new album Key Markets is released through abstract punk label Harbinger Sound on 10 July, but they’re giving away a track ‘Face To Faces’, available now when you pre-order the album online. The download album is available via iTunes, or if you’d prefer vinyl, you can get that through Cargo.

ENGLISH DOGS OFF THE LEASH!

Revered Lincolnshire punks ENGLISH DOGS will be playing three shows with Bay Area thrashers Exodus at the end of June.

The Dogs, who along with Discharge and GBH are widely considered to be progenitors of thrash, join Exodus at The Underworld, London on 23 / 24 June and Academy 3, Manchester on 25 June.

They’ll be playing their own headline shows in October and November (see below) with more to be added.

Originally formed in Grantham in 1981, the current line-up – not to be confused with the other English Dogs, fronted by original singer Wakey – came together in 2012 featuring original drummer Pinch, vocalist Adie Bailey and guitarist Gizz Butt (Destructors, Prodigy), plus Californian tattooist twins Craig and Ryan Christy. Their current album The Thing With Two Heads was released last year on Candlelight Records.

TOY DOLLS – UNPLUGGED AND ON THE ROAD!

THE TOY DOLLS celebrate their 35th Anniversary this year with a string of dates across Europe, kicking off in Spain on 25 June.

He says, “I recorded everything in me bedroom, no overdubs or 2nd vocal or 2nd guitar tracks or anything.”

You can sample the fruits of his labours in the video for ‘Idle Gossip’.
