Tickets go on general sale this Friday 9th September at just £10.00 per ticket, in keeping with the ’10 years’ merriment. This will be the first date on The Mission’s 25th anniversary tour, with Wayne Hussey, Simon Hinkler and Craig Adams back together to recreate the excitement and memories of a generation. “I have lived all over the world for the last 20 years, but I still think of myself as a Bristol lad, born and bred” says Hussey. “I have many family members living in and around Bristol so I’m fortunate to be able to visit three or four times a year and it always amazes me just how much it changes each time. A vibrant City, some of my favourite music has come out of Bristol. Having the opportunity to open The Mission's 25th anniversary tour in the City of my birth, somehow seems apt to me and completes the cycle. I’m really looking forward to it.” During their 25 years, The Mission have enjoyed worldwide success, in excess of four million album sales, racked up 14 Top 40 UK hits, and headlined Europe’s most prestigious festivals. The quality of both their recorded output and the excitement of their live shows, The Mission still command a fanatically loyal worldwide audience. O2 Academy Bristol will reach a landmark occasion this November, reflecting on a decade since opening in 2001. O2 Academy Bristol has presented over 2,500 events and welcomed some 2 million customers through its doors in the last 10 years.

NEW ORDER-NEW LINEUP/DATES

NEW DATES - OLD FRIENDS - NEW ORDER New Order announce two benefit gigs in Europe in aid of their old friend, the renowned artist and film producer Michael Shamberg. Shamberg - who produced several of New Order’s music videos, including the Brit Award winning True Faith, Touched by the Hand of God and Regret – has been struggling with a debilitating illness since 2005. Speaking yesterday, Bernard explains, “Michael has been with us from the very start, initially he was in charge of Factory New York, then became creative producer for all our early videos. He brought our attention to the early works of Directors such as Kathryn Bigelow, Gina Birch, Robert Breer, Peter Care, Phillipe Decouffle, Jonathan Demme, Robert Frank, Paula Greiff, Robert Longo, Bailie Walsh & William Wegman. Michael is very ill and needs constant medical attention. We want to help him, and these shows will contribute financial support towards his ongoing care.” New Order are pleased to announce the return of GILLIAN GILBERT to the band. Gillian’s first live performance with New Order was at The Squat in Manchester on October 25, 1980. Gillian says, “It’s been a long ten years since I took a break from the band, so I’m really happy to be back, and this is a great place to start. Michael is a very good friend, and I want to help him, so it’s perfect timing to come back now!” The dates, their first live shows since November 2006, are: * 17th October 2011- Ancienne Belgique - Brussels * 18th October 2011 - La Bataclan - Paris Following the well-documented departure of bass player Peter Hook, in Spring 2007, New Order are now: * Stephen Morris (drums) * Bernard Sumner (vocals, guitar) * Gillian Gilbert (keyboard, guitar) * Phil Cunningham (guitar, keyboards) * Tom Chapman (bass) Tickets are available from Brussels: www.abconcerts.be phone: +32 (0)2 548 24 24 Paris :www.alias-production.fr www.fnactickets.com/ - phone: 0 892 683 622 (0,34€/min) / international calls : +331 4157 3228 www.ticketnet.fr/en/index - phone: 0 892 390 100 (0,34€/min) / international calls : +331 4691 5757 www.digitick.com
