In celebration of this month’s cover stars HANOI ROCKS, we’ve hooked up with photographer Per-Åke Wärn to present a gallery of Hanoi spin-off bands over the years.
The shots begin with CHERRY BOMBZ, the band formed by Andy McCoy and Nasty Suicide with singer Anita Chellamah immediately after Hanoi’s original ’85 split. You can catch Anita and her band playing a rare London show at The Hope & Anchor on Friday 28 April.
DEMOLITION 23 represented a partial regrouping of members in New York in ’93, with Michael Monroe joined by Nasty and Sam Yaffa.
Lastly, we have a series of shots of Michael’s solo band from 2010 (with Ginger Wildheart) and 2014.
You can read a full and uncompromising feature on Hanoi Rocks in the latest edition of Vive Le Rock magazine out now!
