SPECIALS founder NEVILLE STAPLE returns with a new album and he’s launching the video for the title track exclusively with Vive Le Rock!

Return Of Judge Roughneck sees Staple revisiting his Judge Roughneck character from the Specials’ debut album track ‘Stupid Marriage’ on new reworkings of classic Jamaican cuts, alongside brand new material, plus a few gems from his past, the while the second part of the album features a full set of special dub remixes.

Along with his regular Neville Staple Band musicians, the album features a number of guests including former GERALDINE FIBBERS and JAYHAWKS violinist and Neville’s wife Christine Sugary Staple, who co-produced the album along with Neville and Tom Lowry at Coventry’s Planet Studios.

The video was shot by Lee Cogswell and Daniel Thompson at various locations around Coventry,  including the historic Coventry County Court, where Neville was sentenced to borstal during his youth. Further locations include Coventry University’s Moot Room, the local Council Chambers, St Mary’s Guildhall and the Belgrade Theatre.

    Nice one Neville, remember you from Mowtown House back in the seventies before you were famous, love your music man, always followed your career and the specials, keep doing what you do!
