CURSE OF LONO PLAY SPECIAL LONDON SHOW!

London band CURSE OF LONO have released a trailer for their brand new album out today, which they’re sharing exclusively with Vive Le Rock!

The trailer also serves as a taster for a short film Saturday Night: A Film Of Four Songs, directed by Alex Walker. The film recently won Best Music Video at the LA Independent Film Festival, the London Independent Film Awards and Feel The Reel International Film Festival in Glasgow and has made the official selection at the International Music Video Underground in LA.

The band are launching their debut album Severed with a special show at London’s Water Rats venue on Thursday 20 April. All proceeds from the gig will go to help much-loved London music figure Barry Marshall-Everitt in his fight against cancer. A key player on the London music scene since the late 60s, Barry has worked in pirate radio on the infamous Radio Geronimo, tour managed the likes of T REX and PINK FAIRIES and for many years ran Soho’s celebrated Borderline club during its heyday. Most recently, he’s been running the roots radio station House Of Mercy.

“Barry wrote one of the first articles about my old band for Music Week back in 2005,” says Curse Of Lono frontman Felix Bechtolsheimer. “He has played us on the radio, promoted our gigs at The Borderline and Dingwalls and, more importantly, he’s become a great friend. He has helped so many bands over the years, including many of our mates, so it seems only right to try to give a little back.”

Tickets for the gig are available here.

Severed is available now through the band’s website.
